Online Registration - Overview

 

Registration is closed. You may still log in with an existing account, but only to view your entries and forms. New accounts cannot be created and new registrants cannot be edited. We'll see you in a few weeks!

 

The Process

Groups will register online, and add attendees to their group with the system. Your group can have attendees from more than one contest—for example, some states register all of their contestants, coaches, chaperones, and guests together in one group.

Each person attending must be assigned to a Participation Code (such as "meat judging contestant" or "consumer decisions guest", etc.) and must pick a Package Code which determines access to events, meals, activities, and such.

Once registration is completed, the system will generate registration/entry forms.

The Triple Form (code of conduct, the photo release, and the health form) needs to be filled out by each attending person.

Also, the Special Needs Notification Form is requested of participating individuals with special needs.

This Official Authorization form must be printed and then signed by the respective State 4-H Director/Leader or State FFA Advisor and mailed, with full payment, and with a Triple Form for each attendee, to:

Important dates to remember

  • October 1 On-line registration opens
  • November 20 Late registration begins ($50 per person)
  • December 5 Late Registration ends, registration closes

Please Note: In order for the entry to be valid, the Official Authorization Form must be printed and signed by the respective State 4-H Leader/Director or State FFA Advisor and mailed in with full payment to the address above.

 

Participation Information

Each person registering for Western National Roundup will need to choose one of the following participation types:

  • Roundup: Delegate, Chaperon or Guest (these are participants who earned the right to come through other events and contests in their state and are not competing in a contest)
  • Consumer Decision Making: Contestant, Coach or Guest
  • FCS Presentations: Contestant, Coach, Chaperon, or Guest
  • FCS Skill-a-Thon: Contestant, Coach, Chaperon, or Guest
  • FCS Bowl: Contestant, Coach, Chaperon, or Guest
  • Fashion Revue: Contestant, Coach, Chaperon, or Guest
  • Hippology: Contestant, Coach, Chaperon, or Guest
  • Horse Bowl: Contestant, Coach, Chaperon, or Guest
  • Horse Demonstration Individual: Contestant, Coach, Chaperon, or Guest
  • Horse Demonstration Team: Contestant, Coach, Chaperon, or Guest
  • Horse Public Speaking: Contestant, Coach, Chaperon, or Guest
  • Horse Judging: Contestant, Coach, Chaperon, or Guest
  • Meats Judging: Contestant, Coach, Chaperon, or Guest
  • Livestock Judging: Contestant, Coach, Chaperon, or Guest
  • Livestock Quiz Bowl: Contestant, Coach, Chaperon, or Guest
  • Prepared Speech: Contestant, Coach, Chaperon, or Guest
  • Impromptu Speech: Contestant, Coach, Chaperon, or Guest
  • Parliamentary Procedure: Contestant, Coach, Chaperon, or Guest

Guests are non-delegates, non-contestants – parents, siblings, friends etc.

 

Package Information

All those in attendance at Western National Roundup must register for one of the following packages:

Package A - designed for all youth contestants, and delegates, and coaches, or anyone wanting to have one lunch included

Package A Includes:

  • Registration
  • Contest Fees
  • Workshops
  • Breakfasts on Friday and Saturday
  • One lunch either Friday or Saturday depending on contest day (Roundup Delegates not in contests will have lunch on Friday at the hotel and will be on their own at the NWSS on Saturday)
  • National Western Stock Show pass
  • Friday: Dinner, banquet, and dance/activities
  • Saturday: Theme night and dance/activities
  • Access to all Event Photos
  • Awards Breakfast Banquet (Satruday for Livestock and Sunday for all others)

Total Cost: $400 per individual

Package B - designed for all guests, youth and adults (including coaches)

Package B Includes:

  • Registration
  • Workshops
  • Friday and Saturday Breakfasts
  • National Western Stock Show pass
  • Friday: Dinner, banquet, and dance/activities
  • Saturday: Theme night, pin swap, and dance/activities
  • Access to all Event Photos
  • Awards Breakfast Banquet

Omitted: This package does not include lunches or contestant fees.

Total Cost: $350 per individual

Package C - designed for attending only the Awards Breakfast Banquet (Saturday for Livestock; Sunday for all others)

Package C Includes:

  • Partial Registration
  • National Western Stock Show pass
  • Access to all Event Photos
  • Awards Breakfast Banquet (Saturday for Livestock; Sunday for all others)

Omitted: This package does not include any contest fees, lunches, meals on Thursday or Friday or Saturday, dances, workshops, etc.

Total Cost: $50 per individual

Package D - designed for Meats and/or Livestock contest participants ONLY.

Package D Includes:

  • Registration
  • Contest Fees
  • Lunch during the contest on Friday for Livestock and Saturday for Meats
  • National Western Stock Show pass
  • Access to all Event Photos
  • Awards Breakfast Banquet: Saturday for Livestock and Sunday for Meats

This is for Meats and/or Livestock participants. Other than one Awards banquet for Meats and one for Livestock, it does not include regular buffet breakfasts on other days during Roundup or any dinners.

Total Cost: $250

 

Late Fee and Cancellations: $50 per person

Registration is open from October 1 to November 20. A $50 per person late registration fee will automatically be added to all registrations entered from November 21 to December 5. Registrations will close at 11:59pm December 5. Cancelations between November 21 and December 5 will incur a $50 penalty and NO REFUNDS will be given on cancelations after December 5.
 

Optional Packages and Activities

These activities are open to all Western National Roundup participants, coaches, parents and guests and will be available to select during online registration. These items are optional and are not required!

All Day Tours:

Information on tours is on the Tours + Entertainment page. They are Colorado Springs. Catch the Spirit! ($90), Greeley ($90), Winter Park Ski & More (see page for pricing) with options such as skiing, snowboarding, tubing, etc.

Please Note: If the SKI TOUR is selected, there may be additional paperwork/forms required to facilitate equipment rental and ski school. These forms are released by the mountain recreation providers and can be downloaded in PDF format from the Activities Page. Each participant in these activities must have this form. Please submit with your registration packet.

Apparel – by NDP:

Roundup T-shirts, Long Sleeve shirts, Hoodies and more can be purchased on-site at the hotel, with Roundup logo, team member name/s, and contest.

State/Team Photo

Please note that complete access to all photography is available after the event via the web at no additional cost; prints are optional.

Gicleé prints made by the photographer can be ordered after the contest as well, when actual photo choices can be made.

  • 16 x 20 inch poster size: $35 each
  • 12 x 16 inch large photo: $25 each
  • 8 x 10 inch standard size: $15 each

Shipping and handling is $7.50 per recipient address (orders can be combined to save on S&H). Packaging is cardboard tube for 16x20 and 12x16; flat envelope for 8x10, shipped USPS Priority to the United States.

Photo Release

All participants at Roundup must sign (or have their parent/guardian sign) the photo release form (part of the "triple form") and include it as part of their registration. More information about Roundup photography.

Online Registration Steps

1. Log In

One login should be created per group.

 

2. Your Group Detail

Tell us who your group leader and your state director/leader is and provide contact information.

 

3. Add Individuals

This is where you set up each contestant, coach, and guest coming in your group. You can have folks from more than one contest in your group.

 

4. Authorization Form

Once done, print this and have your State 4-H Director/Leader or State FFA Advisor sign, then mail.

Also include a filled out Triple Form — one for each attending person — in your packet.

Finally, the Special Needs Notification Form is requested of participating individuals with special needs.

 

Log Out

You can log out after a partial registration and come back later to finish.
